When the power's out!
It's a strange feeling when the power is out. We can lose power for a variety of reasons but when it's out for a prolonged or unknown period of time, it's nice to have an alternative power source.
One alternative source is a portable gas generator. These come in a variety of wattages to power as little or as much as you need. When using a generator, it's very important to use one properly.
NEVER put your portable gas generator indoors! Breathing the fumes from a gas generator can kill a person in minutes.
ALWAYS place your portable gas generator at least 20 feet away from all homes (yours and your neighbors).
Keep generators away from windows and doors.
